  1. Johnstown Castle is located 7 km SW of Wexford town and was the former home of the Fitzgerald and Esmond families.  The castle is surrounded by 20 acres of well maintained wooded gardens and is home to the architectural research station.  The gardens of Johnstown Castle are open every day.
